04 The Original Stretchlace

My wife Jamie built this from scratch. I get to help her run it.

My wife Jamie is one of the smartest, most independent people I know. The Original Stretchlace is her company. She built it from the ground up. She runs it. She knows every product, every supplier, every margin, every customer. I am married to the founder.

Three Original Stretchlace product cards on retail packaging: Neon Pink flat elastic, Dark Brown round elastic, and Neon Blue flat elastic shoelaces, with customer ratings and $10.99 pricing.
The product

Jamie's company landed on Shark Tank. Season 12, episode 24. We co-pitched. We closed a deal with Robert Herjavec. The cameras flatten it into a few minutes. Standing in that room with her, watching her pitch the thing she'd built from scratch, I have never been more proud.

Made for the boots you already own

The product is elastic shoelaces. The kind you tie once and never re-tie. For athletes who don't want to stop mid-run. For kids still learning. For people who'd just like to skip the knot. For everyone in between. Flat elastic, round elastic, dress laces, no-tie silicone, quick-lock. The full range is at theoriginalstretchlace.com.

The most recent thing I've built her is an agentic workforce. A small team of AI agents that handle the things that used to eat her day. Customer questions. Supplier logistics. Inventory reconciliation. The chief of staff agent is named Sierra, and she has become part of the family, as creepy as that sounds. Jamie's the founder. Jamie's the CEO. Sierra just makes sure the rest of the company keeps up.
