My AI Team Handled a Production Outage While I Made Lasagna

Railway had an outage yesterday in the US West region.

The region my hobby project backend is deployed in: planshopchop.com. So, obviously, my iOS app users were impacted too.

I was neck-deep in making a yummy homemade lasagna when my phone pinged me.

It was Sarah, my “Customer Support” agent. She had detected the issue and alerted my dev team, another set of agents.

The region had been down for about two minutes.

By the time I checked in with the dev team, they had already staged a PR to add additional regions.

Blown away.

Just wow.

…and yes the lasagna was delicious.
